1-on-1 Coaching

Sometimes you need a personal trainer to reach your goals – that’s where I come in. I will work with you remotely, one-on-one, with customized instruction and feedback created just for you to optimize your work-life balance with improved time and/or project management strategies. I will help you focus on the things that matter.

Agile Project Management Training

Agile methodologies are not just for programmers! All projects can benefit from an Agile approach, giving you (or your team) greater efficiency. Learn either Agile Scrum, Kanban, or a blending of both. Your improved project focus will gain you more work-life balance.

Go to Time Management Training

Time Management Training

As a highly trained and expert practitioner of Getting Things Done® and other time management methodologies, I will coach you (or your team) with ideas and strategies to gain greater work-life balance. I will work with you to determine which strategies (and tools) fit best for your work style.

Go to Remote Seminars

Remote Seminars

Give you team or company the tools needed to achieve work-life balance! I provide seminars on time management or Agile project management, improved meeting formats, or a combination of all of these. Drew Story

Agile Time Coach Founder
Experienced Teacher, Project Manager, Solutions Architect, and Coach

Experienced Teacher
My first career was in education as a classroom teacher for 13 years. I taught history, computer applications, and web design. I was selected to be a "mentor teacher" four separate times, helping new teachers learn their craft. My teaching career gave me a sharpened public speaking and communication skill set.

Technical Project Manager
My second career was in IT beginning as a web developer and quickly expanding to the role of technical project manager. Good teachers make great project managers as they know how to organize many projects, create both short and long range plans, are skilled communicators and capable of training others. My technical acumen made me especially valuable as a project manager.

Solutions Architect
Most of my second career has been at Patagonia - over 19 years - where my final position has been being a Solutions Architect; an expert technical project manager who writes specifications and project plans while also training entire teams. At Patagonia, I learned and then mentored others in Agile project management methodologies and also received in-depth Getting Things Done® training. I was known to be a time management guru, being one of the few people to have an empty Inbox each day. I became a key advisor to multiple teams on work efficiency.

Coach
When not doing my consulting work, I spend time coaching a sprint canoe and kayak team. I am a certified International Canoe Federation Level I Coach and the head coach of the Ventura Canoe & Kayak Club.

If you would like to know more about why I started this company, read my first blog post on defining "work-life balance."
